I’ve decided to start this little series where every month I set myself some achievable goals. I’m hoping that this will actually motivate me to stick with these goals, because you guys can hold me accountable.
I’ve seen other bloggers do this and I thought it was a fantastic idea. I’m the kind of person that sets myself huge goals in the New Year and for Lent, but always fails massively. This is because I want to achieve all these huge things in my life, but I don’t actually map out how I’m going to go about doing them.
By setting myself monthly goals, and reviewing them at the end of the month, hopefully I can actually get sh*t done.
Money Goals: Stop buying stuff you don’t need.
I may as well admit it now. I am a shopaholic, and I may or may not use the excuse of having a blog to fuel my addiction. But this April, that’s all going to change. I’m going to stop buying unnecessary clothes and beauty products. I’m doing this mainly to save money, but also so that I can start to appreciate all the things I have already. I had actually told myself that I would do this for Lent, but obviously it didn’t happen. But this time I’m determined!
Productivity Goals: Create a regular posting schedule for my blog.
Admittedly, I’ve been all over the place with this one. My problem is that I have so many ideas, but so little organisation. So this month is all about scheduling for my blog. I’ve pulled out all the stops and actually started using my diary to plan which posts I’m going to publish and when.
I’m going to write my posts and take all my photos in advance. So, over Easter when I want to spend time with my family, I won’t have to worry about writing blog posts.
Studying Goals: Complete all the reading for my dissertation.
Next year I will be entering my dreaded final year of university. Which means I will have to write a dissertation. To be honest, It’s already stressing me out. But I’m blessed with having the time to actually do some reading in advance. I know I would regret it so much if I let this time slip through my fingers.
What are the things you want to achieve this month? Have you set yourself any goals for lent? Let me know in the comments below, and don’t forget to share this post on Pinterest!
