OhK! Korean Foot Peeling Mask Review

OhK! Korean Foot Peeling Mask Review

Hey guys,

So, foot peeling mask’s are a product I’ve  been meaning to try for YEARS now. I first saw them when I went to South Korea for the first time way back in 2014. But, at the time, I was so overwhelmed by all the innovative products South Korea had to offer, that I didn’t get round to it. Until now.

When I saw that Beauty Bay were selling these, I knew I had to buy one.

To be honest though, I was a bit skeptical at first. I had done some intensive google researching and I had only seen good things, but I couldn’t shake the feeling it wouldn’t work.

*DISCLAIMER – If you google it, you will see a lot of feet pictures. If, like me, you’re grossed out like feet, I 100% do not recommend looking on google images.*

How the Mask Works:

The instructions on the box are really clear, which I was impressed by. I’ve used a lot of Korean beauty products where the instructions are completely in Korean which has been a bit of a struggle.

Basically, you get given two large socks which you are able to tie at the top to keep them on and two separated packets of solution. You pour the peeling solution into each sock and then pop your clean feet inside. The instructions suggest leaving the mask on for an 1.5 – 2 hours, so I suggest doing this while you’re watching a movie or one of your favourite shows. (I watched like 4 episodes of Rick and Morty on Netflix, I’m so obsessed.)

After a couple of hours you take off the mask and wash off any of the excess solution that’s still on your feet. And then, 4-6 days later you’ll begin to shed your skin like a snake. After a few days of peeling, your feet will be baby soft!

How it Feels:

The socks are large enough to fit any foot size, so even men can use it too! I had no trouble with them falling off because the ties went around my ankle, keeping them super secure. I was slightly worried that the watery solution might leak out, but that wasn’t a problem either!

What I thought was great about the mask was that you can walk around with it on. That isn’t to say that it doesn’t feel really weird though, it’s pretty much like tying plastic bags filled with water onto your feet.

Also, guaranteed you will get funny looks and comments off your family and friends. I’m pretty sure when I explained to my parents they thought I was insane.

While the mask on I only felt a slight tingling feeling, don’t worry it wasn’t painful in any way.

Other than that, it just felt really wet.

Overall, I really enjoyed trying this mask, once I got over the fear of my skin burning off.

I was skeptical at first, but on the fourth day, this mask delivered as promised and my feet are now amazingly smooth!

However, I wouldn’t do this every week, simply because we have hard skin on our feet for a reason. But I will definitely be purchasing another foot peeling mask before the summer, or before I go on holiday.

If you want to try it out for yourself then you can buy this mask here.

Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried a foot peeling mask for yourself! Did it work for you? Also, I love trying weird and wonderful products, so if you know of any let me know!
